5.3-quake jolts Naga City
A 5.3-magnitude earthquake jolted Naga City in Camarines Sur late Sunday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. Phivolcs supervisor Esmeralda Banganan told Super Radyo DZBB that the quake’s epicenter was plotted 50 kilometers southwest of Naga City. Banganan said magnitude 4 quake was also felt in Guinayangan in Quezon; magnitude 3 in Lucban, Quezon and magnitude 3 in Manila and Boac, Catanduanes. No casualty or damage to property was reported so far. No tsunami alert was also raised. Banganan told the same radio station that damage usually occur if magnitude 6 would strike. - GMANews.TV
